His poetry and literary writings were very influential at the time. He is well known for his fight against the dictatorship of Mohammad Ali Shah at the time of Qajar Dynasty. His speeches and writings in English and Russian newspapers could draw the attention of politicians in the region to the political situation in Iran.This article is a biography of this prominent figure and looks at his achievements in politics and literature. شیخ عبدالعلی موبد بیدگلی از چهره‌های اثرگذار فرهنگی سیاسی یکصد ساله اخیر ایران است، شهرت این شاعر و ادیب دانشمند در تاریخ مشروطیت ایران بیشتر به علت مبارزات و مجاهدتهای او در روسیه در دوره استبداد صغیر است. وی توانست با تبلیغات خود علیه محمدعلی شاه و انتشار سخنرانی‌هایش در مطبوعات روسی و انگلیسی توجه اندیشمندان و سیاستمداران را به اختناق حاکم در ایران در آن دوره سیاه جلب نماید. این نوشته مروری است بر زندگی علمی، سیاسی و ادبی او.
