Since Kashan was the greatest and the most important village of Qom region at that time, the author of the book provides some valuable materials about the history of the region and its historical geography. Comparing with other historical sources, this article attempts to study the villages of Kashan mentioned in the History of Qom especially Ardahal, Ravand, Nush Abad, Abruz, Deram, Batride, Varz Abad. تاریخ قم از مهمترین کتب تاریخ محلی ایران است که اطلاعات بسیار سودمندی از اوضاع تاریخی، جغرافیایی و فرهنگی ناحیه قم در سده های آغازین دوره اسلامی ‌ارائه می‌دهد و از آنجا که در آن دوران، کاشان مهمترین و بزرگترین رستاق از کوره قم بوده است، این کتاب، اطلاعات ارزنده‌ای از تاریخ و جغرافیای تاریخی این منطقه به دست می‌دهد. در این مقال سعی شده است به آبادیهای منطقه کاشان که در تاریخ قم، ‌وصفی از آنها آمده – به‌ویژه کاشان، اردهال، راوند، نوش آباد، ابروز، درام، بطریده، ورازآباد- در مقایسه با دیگر منابع تاریخی شناخته شده پرداخته شود.
