Kashan area is one of those regions that contains the oldest traces of this phenomenon, hence archaeological activities in the area goes back very early in Iran. Besides Sialk, that is most famous archaeological site of the region, Kashan area contains many other important archaeological sites that some of them are better known like Tepe Shourabeh, Arisman, and recently excavated Estark-Joshaqan from second millennium B.C. One of these important site is Tepe Qabrestan, near Noshabad city that maintains early evidences of cultural evolution of local societies of the region. It seems Tepe Qabrestan contains late Neolithic layers and is contemporary with late Sialk I and possibly early Sialk II period, are destroyed unfortunately by farming activities in the way that after one seasons of archaeological field work, it became clear that nothing important of the site has been remained for more investigations. Nevertheless this paper present the results of only season of archaeological activities at the site in 2009. دوران نوسنگی یا دوره‌ای که بشر از شیوۀ زندگی مبتنی بر شکار و گردآوری خوراک به شیوۀ زندگی مبتنی بر تولید خوراک روی آورد، از ابتدای شروع باستان‌شناسی به‌عنوان یک شاخۀ علمی مورد توجه بوده و بخش زیادی از مطالعات و پژوهش‌های انجام‌شده در این حوضه را به خود اختصاص داده است. منطقۀ فرهنگی کاشان نیز از جمله مناطقی است که شواهد و مدارک این تحول اساسی را در خود داشته و جزو نخستین مناطقی است که مورد توجه باستان‌شناسان علاقه‌مند به این دوره قرار گرفته است. گرچه محوطۀ سیلک کلیدی‌ترین محوطۀ دوران پیش از تاریخ این منطقه شناخته می‌شود، محوطه‌های باستانی مانند تپۀ شورابه، اریسمان و گورستان هزارۀ دومی استرک ـ‌ جوشقان که به‌تازگی مورد کاوش قرار گرفته‌اند نیز به درک تحولات اجتماعی و فرهنگی جوامع این منطقه کمک کرده و دیدگاه ما را به دوران گذشتۀ آن واضح‌تر نموده است. محوطۀ قبرستان نوش‌آباد از جمله محوطه‌هایی است که آثار قدیمی‌ترین مراحل این تحولات را در خود داشته، اما شوربختانه به‌علت تخریب‌های انسانی شدیدی که در آن صورت گرفته، آنچنان‌که می باید انتظارات باستان‌شناسان را برآورده نکرده است. در این نوشتار، گزارش تنها فصل پژوهش باستان‌شناختی انجام‌شده در محوطه به‌همراه نتایج اجمالی که از این پژوهش باستان‌شناختی کوتاه‌مدت به دست آمده، ارائه شده است. https://sh-kashan.kashanu.ac.ir/article_110972_af1e68bcc059ec828811293e373356ae.pdf
