Given the widespread circulation of the incorrect claim attributing the construction of this building to Muhammad Ali, a Kashani architect known as Ali Maryam, and its extensive dissemination across various websites, social media platforms, and even some scholarly writings, it was necessary to develop a coherent and well-documented text to correct this misconception and critically evaluate the aforementioned attribution based on the available evidence. To this end, the present article, adopting an analytical approach and drawing upon documentary and field sources—including interviews with experts and relevant individuals, among them the first person to put forward this claim—along with an examination of the historical and chronological feasibility of the attribution through evidence such as the inscription on his gravestone and an assessment of the architectural quality of buildings attributed to Ali Maryam, arrives at the conclusion that Ali Maryam was one of Kashan’s architects and that he was responsible for the construction of several relatively unremarkable buildings. However, attributing the construction of the Amin al-Dowleh Timcheh and Kashan’s well-known historic houses to him is untenable, both in terms of chronology and in light of the extent of his architectural capabilities. Nevertheless, it is possible that, during his adolescence or youth, he participated in the construction of Amin al-Dowleh Timcheh as a laborer or assistant to the master builder. At the same time, the claim that the building was constructed by Ramadan Ali Tupchi, another Kashani architect, warrants further investigation<span dir="RTL" lang="FA">.</span></span> <strong><span lang="AR-SA">یکی از بناهای مهم دورۀ قاجاری کاشان تیمچۀ امین‌الدوله است که مانند بسیاری از بناها از معمار آن اطلاع موثق و قطعی در دست نیست. با توجه به رواج ادعایی نادرست مبنی بر نسبت‌دادن ساخت این بنا به محمدعلی معمار کاشانی (علی ‌مریم) و بازتاب گستردۀ آن در برخی پایگاه‌های اینترنتی، شبکه‌های اجتماعی و حتی پاره‌ای نوشته‌های پژوهشی، ضرورت داشت متنی منسجم و مستند برای رفع این برداشت شکل‌گرفته و انتساب مذکور بر پایۀ شواهد موجود مورد ارزیابی نقادانه قرار گیرد. این مقاله بدین هدف با رویکردی تحلیلی و با استفاده از منابع اِسنادی و میدانی، اعم از مصاحبه با صاحب‌نظران و افراد ذی‌ربط، از جمله اولین مطرح‌کنندۀ این ادعا و هم‌چنین بررسی امکان تاریخی و زمانی این انتساب از طریق اسنادی مانند محتوای کتیبۀ سنگ قبر وی و بررسی کیفیت معماری ساخته</span></strong><strong><span dir="LTR" lang="AR-SA">‎‌</span></strong><strong><span lang="AR-SA">های منسوب به علی مریم به این نتیجه می‌رسد که علی مریم یکی از معماران کاشان است که ساخت برخی بناهای نه‌چندان شاخص کار اوست، اما انتساب ساخت تیمچۀ امین‌الدوله و خانه‌های تاریخی معروف کاشان به وی هم به لحاظ زمانی و هم به لحاظ میزان توانایی‌هایش منتفی است، گرچه ممکن است در نوجوانی یا جوانی به‌عنوان کارگر و کمک‌دست بنا در ساخت تیمچۀ امین‌الدوله مشارکت داشته باشد. در‌عین‌حال ادعای ساخت این بنا توسط رمضان‌علی توپچی معمار دیگر کاشانی قابل بررسی است. </span></strong> <strong><span lang="FA"> </span></strong> <strong><span dir="RTL" lang="FA">کلیدواژه‌ها</span><span dir="RTL" lang="AR-SA">: تیمچۀ امین‌الدولۀ کاشان، علی مریم، معماری دورۀ قاجار، بازار کاشان، انتساب معماری</span></strong> https://sh-kashan.kashanu.ac.ir/article_115480_c7dced801f1e05f678f3b53be7d32cb7.pdf
