In recent years, the idea of the separation of religion and philosophy has been put forward by the Khorasanis, a sub-group of the school of textualists. This has led to renewed interest in the relation ships between wisdom and religion. Feiz's position in this regard has always been a matter of controversy. Some see him in the school of Akhbaris whereas others do not because of his praise for Sadr al-Motaahellin. The present paper explores his approach to wisdom and religion.
