Scholars can be known and understood through their works. The better the knowledge of their works, the deeper the understanding of their characters. In the works of Bābā Afzal, also simply known as afzal in his poetry, his serious attention to the day of resurrection and the doubtless preoccupation with man’ self. His works as well as reaction to them imply that his mysticism and scholarship was rooted in Alavi Velayah and that he was a 12-Imam Muslim.
