Compiling the historical culture of Persian poetry’s prosody in such a way that can portray the primary use of a meter, the amount of its usage in later ages and its vicissitudes in the prevalence of each prosodic meter is highly necessary and useful. This is especially true in respect to nice and elaborated publishing of books of poems, Persian poetic works. It should be noted that we miss such a concept in research now. The first step in compiling such a concept is to survey all Persian books of poems one by one and to draw some conclusion as the primary elements. This paper is a reply to such a need. In this paper I also present the rhyme and prosody of Baba Afzal’s poems and different kinds of rhymes used in his poems.
