In this article the author mentions some points about his maternal ancestor, Fayd, to reveal a number of recorded errors and mistakes in the history of men of his family. One of the scholars of the Safavid period is Ziya al-Orafa Razi Kashani whose fame caused Mulla Sadra to migrate to Kashan to profit from his knowledge. Mulla Sadra’s staying in Kashan and his relation through marriage to Ziya al-Orafa and also Fayd’s marriage with the daughter of Mulla Sadra are issues dealt with in this article by which the cultural and scholarly situation of that region is emphasized.
