Information presented about kashan in Yaghoot Hemawi's Majma Al-Boldan that is a reference book on geography is brief but at the same time various and scattered. The work includes information on the geography of the city, its attachments to neibouring Ghom, its different areas, and official administration. The paper also discusses a great custom of the area in waiting for and welcoming the 12th Shiite Imam.
