Kashan was the center of grouth and place of upbringing of influential personages in Islamic civilization and culture in the fifth and sixth centuries A.H. Montajab al- Din’s Fehrest (Biographies) is one of the leading scholarly works which introduces a number of cultural, literary and acadamic figures of these two centuries. After a short introduction, this article attempts to introduce some of the important figures mentioned in Montajab al-Din’s book and to explain their particulars.
