Endowment of personal assets to others, which is a valuable social endeavor and a preferred method among followers of various religions and rituals of the world, has also spread among Iranians before and after Islam. Endowment is in two ways, special and general, mostly individual, and in Iran a few centuries close to our time, it is more specific to Islamic mourning places and rituals. Since the past economic and cultural contexts have placed assets mostly in the hands of men, women have been less cooperative in this field. However, some women have wanted to preserve their names and memories or assets in this way.
In the thirty-part endowment Quran, the names and titles of women are clearly mentioned, unlike some other past sources. These names are mostly Arabic and sometimes Persian or a mixture of both. The endowment letters of this version are a valuable document for understanding the social and economic status of women in the Kashan region; as they indicate their colorful presence in religious and scientific educational meetings of the past. Although the cost of endowment of a part of the Quran was not high compared to endowments such as land, houses, and mourning or mourning materials, this also indicates the economic weight and perhaps financial independence of women and provides the basis for research on the profession of women in the region in past centuries.
